ECHO Systems is a Philadelphia-based nonprofit advancing reuse, waste reduction, and circular economy practices through education, advocacy, and community partnerships. The organization works to build an interconnected system that keeps materials in use and waste out of landfills, positioning Philadelphia as a leader in sustainable innovation.

The Challenge

As ECHO Systems’ visibility and partnerships grew rapidly, the organization recognized the need for a stronger infrastructure to support its expanding communications and engagement efforts.

With new opportunities emerging across education, advocacy, and community initiatives, ECHO Systems needed cohesive systems and consistent messaging to match its growing influence and ensure that its voice carried clearly across every platform.

Our Approach

Defining the Brand Voice

Field Notes Studio guided ECHO Systems through a rebrand and messaging refinement, establishing a clear, confident voice rooted in collaboration, education, and action. The updated tone positioned ECHO Systems as both an accessible community partner and a thought leader in Philadelphia’s sustainability landscape.


Connecting Systems

We integrated communication and data tools across Mailchimp, CRM, and social platforms to create a centralized system for engagement and performance tracking. Field Notes Studio also developed internal report templates and dashboards that enable the ECHO Systems team to track metrics and evaluate progress month over month with ease and accuracy.


Creating Tools for Growth

To ensure long-term consistency, Field Notes Studio created a content calendar template and streamlined social media workflow. These tools made it simple for the ECHO Systems team to plan, schedule, and assess campaigns from a single hub - bringing clarity and efficiency to day-to-day operations.


Launching Campaigns

We supported the launch of ECHO Systems’ new community toolkit through a coordinated campaign that included lead capture, partner-ready promotional materials, and storytelling assets. The initiative expanded reach, strengthened local partnerships, and reinforced ECHO Systems’ role as a leader in education, awareness, and circular advocacy across Philadelphia.
